A LUXURY SPA BREAK AT THE MERE GOLF RESORT & SPA.

Marc, my parents and I have been visiting The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Knutsford, Cheshire for years now. The first time we went was as a little treat when I got a new job, but after falling head over heels in love with the place, we now book visit at least three times a year. We just love it!

Like most other women, I love nothing more than having a good old relax and pamper, and for me, there's no place better to let go of everyday stresses than The Mere. Set in the heart of Cheshire, The Mere is surrounded by luxury mansions, luscious greenery and a beautiful lake. Every time we visit, the first thing I insist on doing is grabbing a drink and sitting outside overlooking the lake. It really is breathtaking.

In this blog post, I'm going to share some photos from mine and Marc's most recent visit to The Mere, together with a little more information about The Mere and the amazing facilities that it hosts. I hope you enjoy!

Facilities

The facilities at The Mere are completely second-to-none. The spa is beautiful and immaculately clean, and the same can be said for the rest of the venue. We've visited countless times, now, and we're yet to experience any issues in this regard. The rooms are all absolutely pristine and the decor is very up-to-date and on-trend, without feeling cold or 'ultra modern'. For anyone staying at The Mere, spa access is complimentary (and trust me, the spa is fab!), golf passes are available at a concessionary rate, and most packages also include a delicious breakfast in Browns restaurant in the morning.

The view from our balcony - how beautiful!

Food & Drink

And that takes me onto food and drink - another aspect of The Mere that's completely faultless. While we haven't actually eaten an evening meal at The Mere, we always have our lunch overlooking the lake upon arrival, and of course, we always indulge in breakfast the morning after, too! The menus at The Mere are fantastic and the food is reasonably priced. In terms of the lunch menu, you can grab anything from light sharing platters (Marc and I had some delicious chicken skewers and sweet potato fries on Monday), to traditional English classics like Fish & Chips. The food is always fresh, tasty and piping hot - great quality is guaranteed every time.

In terms of the breakfast, well, what can I say? It's just fantastic! Choose from croissants and pastries to a range of cereals, fresh fruit and of course, everything you could ever need for the perfect full English breakfast. There are also a choice of freshly made smoothies, teas and coffees, fruit juices and more. The staff are all extremely helpful and you can go up and grab more as many times as you like - what more could you want?!

So yummy and refreshing

Staff

One of the best things about The Mere is the staff, who are completely fabulous at what they do. From the moment you arrive, to the moment you leave, nothing is too much to ask and you are always greeted by a friendly smile. For me, this makes such an enormous different to how a place feels, and the fact that we have always been so warmly welcomed is one of the many reasons why The Mere will always be my favourite ever spa resort.

Once again, we had the most fabulous time at The Mere on Monday, and we can't wait to be back again in July!

Until next time, lovelies!

Lots of love,
